Orillia, and Worldwide

Our current ranking system.
"The colour of your belt is all in your mind."

This ranking system is designed specifically for this school, in order to best serve its students, and to accommodate the space, location, staff, and local demographics.

Each style and school creates the pedagogy that best suits them.

This curriculum is seen as the most appropriate for this school at this time. However, the pedagogy is not always linear, and exceptions can easily be made for certain students.

For example, students with previous experience or specific goals may begin, on day one, with material that this schedule designates as 4th degree black belt material. In contrast, some students with advanced degrees from other schools sometimes come here specifically to learn what is considered novice material at this school.

Therefore, It is important to avoid making assumptions about a person based on the colour of his or her belt. This is one of the reasons why we don't wear belts or standard uniforms in our classes.
